Star-Typ Sport (STS), the first Polish bookmaker to introduce esports betting in 2014, has now added an esports section to its mobile application.

The new STS section, available on both Android and iOS, will enable its players to engage with tournaments in Poland and those organised abroad through a wide range of live bets.

The apps have been designed to direct fans straight into esports betting, allow easy bet placement for all ongoing competitions, and facilitate discussion between players through a chat function.

Mateusz Juroszek, President of STS, said: “Being the trendsetter on the Polish market for years, STS is the largest and most innovative company in the betting industry. We were the first bookmaker to add esports bets to our offer, which was followed by providing streams of selected esports events.

“Now, as – once again – the first bookmaker in Poland, we have launched an esports section in our mobile application, which is dedicated and tailored made section for esport funs. As a result, esports supporters may place their bets even more quickly and easily using smartphones.”

The bookmaker’s objective is to support further growth and professionalisation of esports across the country. This is why it has become the official bookmaker for Polska Liga Esportowa – the top CS:GO competition in Poland.

In addition, STS supports Paweł ‘innocent’ Mocek, a CS:GO player who competes in international events. The agreement between STS and Mocek was the first-in-Europe case of a bookmaker supporting an individual pro Counter-Strike gamer.

The leading Polish bookmaker – one of 11 licensed operators in Poland alongside TOTALBet, Cherry, Fortuna, Milenium, Totolotek, Etoto, forBET, LV BET, BetClic & BetFan, has also decided to provide support for Damian ‘Nervarien’ Ziaja, one of the most popular Polish influencers in League of Legends.

The agreement signed with him was the first case of a bookmaker becoming involved in promotional activities directed towards the League of Legends community in Poland.

“For the betting industry, the esports segment is a perspective one with dynamic growth,” added  Juroszek. “It is more and more common for esports fans to place their bets.

“Therefore, we have been investing in this area for several years now, expanding our offer with the most important tournaments in Poland and around the world, and streaming new esports events on STS TV.

“The introduction of the esports section in the STS application is another step of our eagerly pursued strategy, which aims to strengthen our leading position on this market.”
