FC Barcelona is looking to strengthen its digital footprint with the launch of both a brand new website and a new mobile app.

The launch marks the first step in a new digital strategy, as the Spanish champions look to offer enhanced digital content and services to its fans all around the world, while also remaining faithful to its members, supporters clubs and local fan base by streamlining all kinds of interactions with the club.

The new site offers an engaging design and intuitive usability, placing a key emphasis on entertaining fans through video content. The site will also enhance the matchday experience for fans, providing ‘second screen’ coverage of matches, player profiles and information specifically aimed at member and fan services.

A statement by Dídac Lee, Director Responsible for FC Barcelona Digital Area commented: “Barça is on a permanent quest for excellence, and we naturally transfer this to the digital realm as well, where we seek products of the utmost quality and value for our users.

“The focus of our web and app is on providing a living platform, which can evolve constantly in keeping with the needs of our fans and members. We plan to include new high value digital products and services aimed at offering an exclusive experience to the fans which, in turn, will generate new lines of business for the club.

“To do all of this, we are seeking to get to know our fans much better through data, as that’s the best way to offer a more relevant and personalised experience, offering greater value to our members and fans on an everyday basis.

“For Barça supporters, this is also a powerful tool for dealing remotely with their most common transactions in relation to the club.”

Both platforms are designed for mobile, and act as part of the club’s continued philosophy of evolution and innovation in the digital realm.
