Sports Information Services (SIS) has grown into the esports market with the launch of competitive gaming betting product.

The product was unveiled at this week’s ICE conference, with attendees viewing a live broadcast of players competing against one another. The matches are overseen by a dedicated integrity referee, specifically trained by the Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) to ensure fair play and transparency.

SIS CEO Richard Ames commented: “SIS Competitive Gaming brings a whole new esports betting experience that will resonate with existing sports bettors.

“Following extensive customer and consumer research into the current esports betting offer, our new Competitive Gaming product has been shaped specifically for betting operators, with easy to understand games, and markets that are familiar to sports bettors, which will help maximise the opportunity of this fast-growing sports sector.”

The Competitive Gaming platform will broadcast 15,000 live events a year, offering quick-fire live betting opportunities to customers which will improve retention rates.

Paul Witten, product director at SIS told ICE attendees: “These are familiar games. They’re the kind of games that consumers already know how to bet on.

“With a range of pre-match and in-play markets, it’s the perfect product to attract existing sports bettors and a new generation of people coming into betting for the first time.

The new product will deliver an end-to-end solution to operators, delivering live-streamed images of players, as well as commentary and on-screen graphics. The new venture ensures that players are able to access the data plus an additional extensive range of markets and prices.
