Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has struck an official sponsorship deal with 1xBet, which will see the operator activate sponsorship on the tournament’s official digital platforms.
The new partnership will include 1xBet’s exclusive sponsorship of CAF’s main events across Africa. It will including the governing body’s flagship tournament, the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), as well as club tournaments such as CAF Champions League, CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Super Cup.
As part of the deal, 1xBet’s branding will be displayed across official stadiums across the tournament on LED panels, 3D carpets, interview areas and reserve benches.
In addition to this, branding for the operator will also be shown across CAF’s website and social media, furthering the operator’s online presence.
Ahmad Ahmad, CAF President, said: “1xBet, a fast-growing company, has changed the image of online betting, just as CAF has also started this change in African football.
“Thus, for the Confederation, a partnership with one of the key players in online sports betting is obvious. This simple and user-friendly platform will help raise the profile of African teams and especially clubs outside the continent.”
The 1xBet press statement read: “CAF is engaged in the support and development of international football on the African continent and we are very excited and proud that our cooperation with CAF has started.”
It added: “Supporting key sporting events is a key strategy for us to engage football fans across the African continent and people from all over the world.”
