NBA 2K League has confirmed that it will be teaming up with fashion brand Champion, who will become the league’s official outfitter ahead of the 2019 draft on March 5th.

Champion will provide the 21 teams in the league with both game uniforms, and apparel for warming up, travel and practice. In addition to this, in-game avatars will be fully kitted out in Champion-branded kit.

Brendan Donohue, Managing Director of NBA 2K League discussed the deal: “We are thrilled to have an iconic brand like Champion as our official outfitter.

“Champion’s authentic designs and innovative products make them a great partner for the league, and we can’t wait to see our teams compete in their new uniforms this season.”

Throughout the season, Champion will also be providing branded-clothing for a number of marquee events, including the NBA 2K League Draft Clash, in-season fixtures and the League Finals.

Jon Ram, Group President Global Activewear at Champion added: “The need for esports apparel is quickly evolving and Champion is pleased to be an integral part of this historical opportunity.

“Being the official outfitters for the NBA 2K League is an exciting and pivotal opportunity for Champion to continue our evolution and expansion to outfit teams within the esports and traditional sports communities. Together we can push the boundaries and bring esports to a wider audience.”

The esports league has already partnered up with SCUF Gaming, HyperX, Intel, Alienware, State Farm, New Era, and Nike’s Jordan brand. And in recent days, NBA 2K was also sponsored by AT&T through the NBA itself.

Champion, meanwhile, has already worked with esports teams such as FaZe Clan and Fnatic, providing the teams with their own unique hoodies. The apparel brand has recently entered into a partnership with Counter-Strike team Renegades.

Prior to that, it became the official jersey, casual wear, and athletic wear provider of Dignitas, the primary jersey provider for PlayVS, and the apparel sponsor of the RMU Eagles.
