With a capacity of 62,062, Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium, on the site of the old White Hart Lane, will be known as The Nike Stadium, according to reports.

Speaking on beIN Sports, Andy Gray and Richard Keys showed video of White Hart Lane with Champions League imagery on its big screens, exclusively revealing that the stadium, which was originally scheduled to be opened at the start of the season, is set to host the club’s Champions League quarter final as early as April 8th.

Keys added that the opening game at the stadium will be on the weekend of April 6th, when third-placed Spurs take on Chris Houghton’s Brighton.

It means the Brighton tie will not only mark the long awaited opening of the stadium, but will also see the return of Spurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino, following his first suspension in English football.

The decision followed an on-field argument with Mike Dean after Spurs suffered a defeat to Burnley, Pochettino described the suspension as ‘completely unfair’.
