new partnership with Unibet

The Philadelphia Eagles has unveiled its first ever casino partnership in a multi-year deal with online operator, Unibet.

The sponsorship deal grants the Kindred Group subsidiary a permanent branding presence across the Eagles’ home stadium of the Lincoln Financial Field. 

Catherine Carlson, Senior Vice President of Revenue and Strategy of the Philadelphia Eagles, added: “Unibet’s reputation as a global leader in the online gambling space has helped the company establish a strong, emerging footprint in the Philadelphia market. We are proud to align ourselves with a company that is fully dedicated to innovation, the customer experience, and responsible gaming.”

Regarding the branding presence Unibet will receive at the Lincoln Financial Field, the operator will be given access to the northwest suites on the main concourse as well as on the “Eagles Nest Tower,” the stadium’s digital billboard.

Moreover, as a result of the partnership Unibet is also set to benefit from exposure across a multitude of the Eagles’ assets including PhiladelphiaEagles.com, team publications, and social media channels. 

Arnas Janickas, Head of U.S. Marketing at Unibet, discussed the partnership: “As we look to grow our footprint in the US, it only made sense to partner with one of the largest, most respected and loved teams in the NFL. The Eagles unmatched fan engagement and relentless innovation in digital space definitely helped to make this partnership a reality.” 

Unibet continues to utilise significant sports sponsorships to expand its footprint in the US market, the deal follows on from the the online gambling operator’s September New Jersey debut in which it announced a deal with National Hockey League team the NJ Devils. 

Insider Insight: What will be key for Unibet in terms of maximising these sponsorships to grow its fanbase and elevate its audience engagement is creative activations. Whilst the stadium branding is important, what is truly likely to engage the US sports fans is creative campaigns that embrace the culture of the club, whilst elevating the Unibet presence amongst supporters.
