Global sports and entertainment media technology provider Deltatre has announced that James Johnson will be the firm’s new Vice President, Americas Business Development.

Johnson joins Deltatre after 14 years with Major League Baseball (MLB), holding several positions including Manager of Broadcast Engineering and Vice President, Broadcast services and Production. 

The new VP stated: “I’m delighted to join Deltatre at an extremely exciting time for our industry. I’m looking forward to helping the company grow, using my experience to ensure our clients can provide pioneering and memorable viewing experiences to their users through Deltatre’s rich storytelling capabilities.”

Johnson’s role will be responsible for continuing the growth of Deltatre’s live production, broadcast and digital services across the United States, Canada and Latin America. He also assumes responsibility for delivering value to new and existing clients across the region, ensuring they are provided with the technology solutions that suit the users needs.

Deltatre’s President of LIVE Division, Gilles Mas, added: “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome James to Deltatre.

The acquisition of Johnson continues to signify Deltatre’s growth over the last 18 months with the company recently having deployed a new CMS across MLB digital properties. Moreover, the entertainment tech provider has partnered with SNEAKY BIG to deliver a bespoke TV graphics solution for college basketball.

Deltatre’s other clients include the likes of BT Sport, Premier League Productions, ATP and WWE.
