In an attempt to boost the company’s profile in Latin America, Roberto Carlos has been revealed as BetWinner’s latest brand ambassador for the continent.

As part of the agreement, Carlos will exclusively represent the brand in Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Guatemala City, Ecuador, Cuba, Bolivia, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico and Uruguay.

Regarding his announcement as BetWinner’s ambassador, the former Real Madrid left back stated: “I’m proud to be part of the BetWinner family and provide support on quality football and entertainment in Latin America,”

When deciding who to approach as a BetWinner brand ambassador for Latin America, the firm’s Director of Public Relations João Vaz revealed that the company was looking for someone compatible with the energy and experience that they have in order to reach local markets in the region.

Vaz explained: “Roberto Carlos is the right man for this. We are pleased to announce the start of our cooperation for two and a half years, until the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, and we are confident that this period will be great for our public,”

Gustavo Motta, Regional Director of BetWinner in Brazil added: “BetWinner is already committed to investing more in marketing in the second half of 2020, and expanding our team. This agreement with Roberto Carlos is part of the initiative and we know that it will be a great association.”

The announcement follows on from the former Brazilian football player’s recent inclusion in FIFA 100, which lists the greatest living footballers.

Insider Insight: Having somebody of Roberto Carlos’ reputation as an ambassador for your brand will undoubtedly bring more eyes to its company, specifically in the Latin America region. However, the success of the announcement also depends on the initiatives that will be put in place to ensure that the former Brazilian international player remains a prominent figure in the brand’s advertising and promotion.
