Following Luton Town’s miracle run to avoid relegation from the EFL Championship, the club has announced it has signed a long-term technical kit partnership with Umbro, replacing Puma after four seasons.

As part of the deal, Umbro will provide all of Luton Town’s kits and training wear for the next four seasons, according to multi media reports.

A Luton Town spokesperson stated: “Umbro combines its rich heritage with modern sports culture to craft apparel, footwear and equipment which blends performance with style for players, teams and fans who are as passionate about the games as they are.

“Over the past few months, we’ve been working with the Umbro design team to develop three fantastic new kit designs for the 2020-21 season – and we’re excited to be able to bring you the new designs soon.”

This is not Umbro’s first time partnering with Luton with the EFL Championship side donning kits supplied by the English sportswear brand in 1959’s FA Cup final and also during the 1980’s.

The spokesperson continued: “We’re delighted to be working with a sportswear brand with the heritage of Umbro. And while it’s fun to look back and remember the past, we’re very much looking forward to the next few seasons, safe in the knowledge that our shirts, replicas, training and leisure wear will be first-class products fit for the future.”

After announcing its collaboration with Umbro the club later released its new 2020/21 kits, whilst also announcing that JB Developments has replaced Indigo Residential as the club’s new home front-of-shirt sponsor.

JB Developments Founder Joseph Brett stated: “As a passionate Lutonian, and a Hatters fan myself – I couldn’t be prouder to see our company logo on the front of the shirt. We’re regulars at Kenilworth Road, and to see the way that the Club have gone about their business and retained their position in the Championship, it’s clear why we would want to get behind the Club and try to do our bit to help for the next three seasons.”

Gary Sweet, Luton Town CEO added: “We’re delighted to be working with a company from Luton who have ambitious growth plans that match our own. JB Developments’ support for the Club at this current time demonstrates their belief in us, and recognises the important part we play in the community.

“Securing our place in the Championship is a massive achievement, and we’re now looking forward to consolidating our place and continuing our progress with Joseph and his team backing us all the way”.
