Major League Baseball (MLB) has signed a multi-year agreement with lottery operator INTRALOT which will see the firm become an Authorised Gaming Operator of the league.

The new deal, which was agreed prior to the 2020 60-game regular season kicking-off, provides INTRALOT with immediate access to MLB’s Official Data, marks, and logos for its Sports Wagering platforms.

Additionally MLB has strengthened its sports betting options for its fans and continues to add new operators in order to enhance the fan experience.

A statement released by the operator read: “The 2020 60-game MLB season is set to be unlike any other and INTRALOT, Inc. is thrilled to be able to provide our customers with a betting experience to match.”

As it stands, INTRALOT is currently taking wagers in both Montana and the District of Columbia, with the group also looking set to launch in New Hampshire within the coming months.

Byron Boothe, CEO of INTRALOT, Inc., commented: “We are excited to work with MLB to bring our players and MLB fans an enhanced Sports Betting experience. The 2020 season will be one to remember for years to come, and at INTRALOT, Inc, we are ready to bring our players the best Sports Betting platform by incorporating this new and thrilling partnership.”

The news follows on from the league’s multi-year agreement with theScore last month in which the firm also became an authorised gaming operator for the competition.

Despite the season only just starting the MLB has had to revise its calendar due to several Miami Marlins players testing positive for COVID-19 resulting in fixtures being postponed.
