Online sportsbook and casino Betway has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Brazilian esports organisation MIBR.

This is the fourth year in a row in which Betway is acting as sponsor to the team, making it MIBR’s longest ongoing commercial partnership.

“In 2018, we had the great honour of becoming founding partners of MIBR, helping to re-launch this legendary brand,” said Adam Savinson, Head of Esports at Betway.

“Today, we are renewing our agreement to continue our fantastic relationship, at what is a really exciting time. We’re looking forward to continuing to offer great insight and entertainment to CS:GO fans in Brazil and around the world.”

So far, the partnership has seen the duo host two exhibition events – ‘MIBR Stars – Brought to you by Betway’ and ‘Lobby das Estrelas’ – seeing MIBR’s Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) players and influencers compete against each other across a variety of famous maps.

MIBR is one of Brazil’s most prominent esports teams, having won the CS:GO world championship twice.

Going into 2021, Betway will continue to feature on the front of MIBR team jerseys, and will sit alongside the team’s multi-platform gaming partners Gamers Club, Ironclad, All33 and Overlock.

Yuri “Fly” Uchiyama, Director Of MIBR commented: “We are very happy to continue our partnership with Betway.

“As MIBR prepares yet again to play in the biggest tournaments in the world, our partnership with Betway and their continued support of the CS:GO community, particularly in Brazil, has helped us grow the largest, most passionate, and engaged fan base in the world.

“We look forward to working with Betway to keep building and developing new fans and future talent.”
