Oddspedia gains brand exposure via Real Madrid agreement

La Liga champions Real Madrid has signed a new partnership with Oddspedia to expand the betting brand’s global footprint.

For the remainder of the 2020/2021 season, Oddspedia will be featured on the perimeter advertising boards at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano for selected Real Madrid home games, whilst the usual training facility is hosting the matches amid the ongoing renovation of the Santiago Bernabéu.

By featuring on the pitch-side advertising boards – including El Clasico against Barcelona on 11 April – the online portal will gain access to ‘cutting-edge digital overlay technology’, allowing for geo-targeted broadcasts. As a result, Oddspedia can grow its brand exposure by reaching the ‘right audiences’.

Jan Möller, Co-Founder of Oddspedia, stated: “We are thrilled to have seized a unique opportunity to work with Real Madrid, a world-class organisation, and one of the most successful clubs in football history.

“It’s exciting to have Oddspedia.com featured on the stadium and we certainly look forward to expanding these opportunities in the future. This also marks our first time we step beyond digital advertising, and I see it as a great way to kick-start 2021, with TV advertising being an additional platform to grow and engage our fanbase.”

The deal comes at a time when live scores, streams and odds comparison provider Oddspedia is looking to ‘step away’ from a digital-centric advertising strategy by using more traditional media verticals to grow brand awareness.

According to Oddspedia, partnering with the Spanish giants can be a ‘very effective’ method when looking to create ‘higher level recognition’ as well as generating value for its branding efforts.
