Sportradar has appointed Lynn S. McCreary as the data collection and analytics firm’s new Chief Legal Officer.

McCreary, who brings over three decades of experience in legal, business and executive leadership roles to Sportradar, having worked at financial services and payments firm Fiserv for 11 years, serving in the capacity of CLO since 2013.

Her responsibilities at Fiserv included directing the firm’s global legal, ethical and compliance activities, as well as taking an active role in coordinating its M&A strategy, including participating in the acquisition of First Data.

“I’m thrilled to join Sportradar, which sits at the exciting intersection of sports entertainment and technology,” McCreary remarked.

“I look forward to working closely with Carsten and the team as we further accelerate Sportradar’s growth in this dynamic industry.”

Additional roles have seen McCreary serve as the Managing Partner of Bryan Cave’s San Francisco office, whilst also taking on the responsibilities of Member of the Board of Directors at NASDAQ-lited NMI Holdings, Chairman of the Board of Governors at Washburn University Law School and Trustee of Washburn University.

These roles have seen the new CLO acquire knowledge and understanding of representing clients across a range of complex commercial matters, transactions, disputes and investigations.

Sportradar’s US expansion strategy had previously been significantly bolstered by its acquisition of Synergy Sports – a market leader in data and analytics of US collegiate athletics.
