Undefeated Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk has partnered with Parimatch Tech as the firm’s debut responsible gaming ambassador, ahead of his clash against Anthony Joshua this weekend.

The agreement will see the 2012 Olympic gold medal-winning fighter and former undisputed cruiserweight champion promote the firm’s commitment to developing responsible gambling principles by ‘following global trends’ and using tools to assist players with their decision making.

Sports betting and gaming tech developer Parimatch has further reiterated its commitment to responsible gaming, whilst also detailing plans to conduct educational events for clients and raise community awareness about gamblng in the community.

“Willpower, intrinsic motivation and self-control are the key elements for victory,” Usyk commented. 

“The same goes for gambling: it is important to stay mindful while gambling, to understand that this is just a way to have fun and get positive emotions, and you can always pause if necessary. 

“This is what I mean by responsible gambling. Therefore, I join the initiative of Parimatch, which will raise the awareness of players about the principles of fair, responsible and transparent gambling.”

The deal represents a further enhancement of Parimatch’s sports affiliations, having recently reiterated its commitment to its ongoing partnership with Juventus of Serie A, detailing plans for ‘exciting campaigns’ throughout the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Additionally, the firm has recently linked with three Premier League clubsAston Villa, Brighton and Hove Albion and Southampton – whilst also renewing its deals with Everton and Leicester City and signing a new one with Chelsea.
