The Stockholm Open has announced Betway’s sponsorship of the oldest Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament as its official betting partner.

Commencing on 6 November, following last year’s cancellation, the competition promises to give Betway association rights as well as ‘prominent’ courtside branding.

Kristoffer Svensson, Head of Stockholm Open at Division, commented: “We are happy to welcome Betway to the Stockholm Open. Together with Betway and all our tennis fans we look forward to a week full of action and fantastic tennis.”

Furthermore, the Stockholm Open has appointed a new Director in three-time winner of the tournament, Thomas Enqvist. Another new addition to the tournament is Division, an event organiser which looks to ‘help build the future of Swedish tennis’.

Anthony Werkman, Betway’s CEO, noted: “It’s fantastic for the Betway brand to be associated with the Stockholm Open.

“As the world’s oldest ATP indoor tournament, the event has a fantastic history and we’re thrilled to be their exclusive betting partner for the next three years.”

Betway continues its tennis ties as last month the platform entered an agreement to sponsor the upcoming European Tour. This will see the brand gain further recognition and exposure at the six day event.

Outside of the sport, Betway was named as the international betting partner of 2020-21 LaLiga champions Atletico Madrid earlier this month.

Additional organisations that have seen partnerships with the firm include the South African national rugby union team, German football clubs VfB Stuttgart, Eintracht Frankfurt FC, Schalke 04 and the National Hockey League (NHL).
