Socios.com has been named as the official partner of the 2021 Ballon d’Or Awards, which kicks off this evening welcoming some of footballers most decorated names to France.

After being post-poned due to COVID 19, the blockchain-based Fan Token platform has reached an agreement with Amaury Média to gain brand visibility throughout the individual awards ceremony and on the red carpet.

Alexandre Dreyfus, Founder and CEO of Socios.com, commented on the deal: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Ballon d’Or, the most prestigious individual awards ceremony in football, and to be part of a ceremony that has become one of the most anticipated events in the sports calendar. sh

“Socios.com was created to bring fans closer than ever to their heroes, and the Ballon d’Or is the event that gathers football’s biggest stars, so it’s a perfect combination.”

Furthermore, the enterprise has promised to also host two photo booths where guests take photos with the trophy and give them an opportunity to win fan tokens from one of Socios’ sporting partners.

Such partners of Socios.com include FC Barcelona, PSG, Juventus, AC Milan, Atlético Madrid and Manchester City to name a few, as well as several National Basketball Association (NBA), National Football League (NFL), National Hockey League (NHL), Formula One and Major League Soccer (MLS) franchises.

As the site continues to work to strengthen its presence in football, AC Milan became the first to launch its NFTs earlier this month, which were released to commemorate ‘the biggest AC Milan moment’ from the game with Serie A rivals and fellow Socios.com partners AS Roma.

Insider Analysis – Socios’ title of official partner reinforces the thriving cryptocurrency space in the sports industry, which has greatly influenced the market. Sports betting platform DraftKings has also followed suit in the shift towards emerging digital products after recently launching its DraftKings Marketplace NFT transaction service.
