Healthy nutrition brand The Skinny Food Co. has announced partnerships with Championship clubs Huddersfield Town FC, Birmingham City FC and Hull City FC.

All running until to the end of the season, the Huddersfield partnership sees The Skinny Food Co. become the team’s official back of the shorts sponsor, while all three deals involve ‘considerable stadium presence’ for home and away fans, as well as advertising opportunities across all three home grounds.

James Corrigan, Commercial Sales Manager at Birmingham City FC, commented: “It’s great to have The Skinny Food Co. advertising with the club. I have spoken with James and Wayne before about the opportunities here at the club, and we have watched the growth of the brand and are excited that they have chosen Birmingham city to help grow their brand.

“We look forward to a healthy working relationship moving forward, and giving something back to our fans through this relationship.”

The company has also stated that it is committed to producing healthier food and drink alternatives for fitness and sports enthusiasts.

James Whiting, Director and Co-Founder at The Skinny Food Co., added:  “We are so thrilled to be teaming up with three fantastic, recognised and respected teams in Huddersfield Town, Birmingham City and Hull City.

“Not only do they provide exceptional advertising opportunities that will enable us to be at the forefront of fans’ minds, but we see the deals only strengthening and growing our loyal customer bases across all three regions.

“These partnerships mark an exciting time for the business that we’ve no doubt will help us considerably in achieving our ambitious marketing and business objectives.”

The deal shortly follows Hull City FC recently confirming that the club is under the new ownership of Turkish broadcasting group, Acun Medya, following completion of the group’s £30 million takeover.

This acquisition was approved by the English Football League (EFL) and saw Acun Medya take full control of the club, with immediate effect.

On the new partnership with Nottingham-based The Skinny Food Co., Phillip Dayes, Commercial Sales Manager at Hull City FC, concluded: “Their passion for football and the drive that they both have to be successful is clear to see.”

“We are absolutely delighted to have The Skinny Food Co on board with us for the rest of the season as a commercial partner. I’m looking forward to seeing their branding and logo going up around the MKM Stadium on match days.”
